> ## Agent Instructions
> Maximem Synap is a managed memory layer for AI agents: it ingests conversations and documents, extracts structured memory, and returns scoped context to the agent at retrieval time.
> The Python and JavaScript/TypeScript SDKs are the supported way to use Synap. Write integration code with SDK calls, not raw HTTP requests.
> Start with the Quickstart: https://docs.maximem.ai/getting-started/quickstart.md. Every SDK method is documented in the SDK reference: https://docs.maximem.ai/sdk-reference/overview.md.

# WaitPro

> WaitPro shows a short read from your bookmarks while an AI app is still writing its answer, so waiting time becomes reading time.

AI answers can take a while. WaitPro uses that wait: when you send a prompt in a supported AI app, a card appears over the page with something worth reading, such as a saved article, with a summary on request. When the answer is ready, the card closes and you carry on.

Each card is labelled with where it came from: **From your bookmarks** (something you saved), **Personalized** (something Vity picked for you), or **Curated** (from a shared reading list).

## What you need

* The [Vity browser extension](/vity/browser-extension.md), signed in.
* Bookmarks to read from: your **Chrome bookmarks**, your **X bookmarks**, or both. Importing is a one-time setup step, and you can refresh it later.
* For X bookmarks, be signed in to your X account in Chrome during the import.

## Set it up

**1. Open WaitPro**

In the dashboard sidebar, expand **Apps** and click **WaitPro**. Read the intro and click **Get Started**.

**2. Connect your bookmarks**

On **Connect Your Bookmarks**, click **Import Bookmarks**. The page shows progress for each source ("Importing Chrome bookmarks...", then "Chrome bookmarks imported", and the same for X bookmarks). One imported source is enough to continue. Click **Next** when it appears.

**3. Start using WaitPro**

The last step, **Start Using WaitPro**, confirms you are set. Click **Finish**. WaitPro is switched on automatically after a successful import.

To import again later, repeat the setup and click **Re-fetch Both Bookmarks**. The page tells you when your bookmarks were already fetched recently.

## Use it

1. Open one of the [supported AI sites](#where-it-works) and send a prompt.
2. While the AI is answering, a card appears with a reading suggestion. Use **Previous** and **Next** to move between cards, or the left and right arrow keys. **Skip** moves on to the next card too. **Read More** opens the original page. **Summarize** shows a summary in the card, with **Back** to return, **Open original** to go to the source, and **Continue** if the page is long enough to need more sections.
3. Close the card with its close button or by pressing <kbd>Q</kbd>. Use **Snooze for** and pick **5min**, **15min**, **30min** or **1hr** to keep it away for that long.
4. When the AI finishes answering, the card closes by itself, unless you have a summary open. If you reach the end, the card says "You're all caught up" and offers **Discover More** to find more reads.

## Where it works

WaitPro runs on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok (grok.com and x.com/i/grok), DeepSeek, Blackbox AI, Genspark, Kimi, Manus and Parallel. It is not active on any other site.

## Settings and turning it off

* **Switch it off or on**: open **Settings** in the dashboard, then the **Apps** tab, and use **Enable WaitPro** ("Show relevant reading material while waiting for AI responses"). The switch stays off with a "Bookmarks Required" notice until you have imported bookmarks; **Go to WaitPro Card** takes you back to set it up.
* **Pause for a while**: use **Snooze for** on the card.
* The **Apps** tab also has **Enable Live Memory Capture** ("Automatically capture memories from connected apps"). That is a separate setting from WaitPro.

## What it uses and sends

* **Your bookmarks**: the setup step reads your Chrome and X bookmarks through the extension so WaitPro can suggest from them.
* **The AI page**: WaitPro watches the page to know when an answer is being written, so it knows when to show and hide the card.
* **Summaries**: when you click **Summarize**, the saved page is sent to Vity to be summarized.

## Troubleshooting

* **Chrome bookmarks failed** or **X bookmarks failed. Please sign in to your X account and try again.**: click **Retry** next to the source. For X, sign in to X in Chrome first.
* **Summaries that cannot be made**: the card explains why. Common reasons are a page with no readable article text (a video, app or interactive page), a login or dashboard page, a paywalled article ("its full text could not be read"), a timeout, or too many summaries at once. Try again in a moment or click **Open original**.
* **Could not load next section: retry**: click the button to try again.
* **Nothing new yet**: **Discover More** found nothing new right now; try again later.
